 October Website Updates: Enhanced Security
We are excited to inform you about important improvements to the Exertis Online Store, designed to make your experience safer and more secure. To protect your account and personal information, we’ve enhanced our security measures, including the introduction of one-time multi-factor authentication (MFA) for sensitive areas such as user information and account settings.
Login
We’ve updated our login journey to make it even easier to login. Making login faster, simpler and better. If you only have a single account ID, we’ve removed the need to enter your account ID and you’ll be able to log in to your account with only your Email address & password. We’ve also removed the need for you to manually enter the Google Captcha, making everything a little bit easier.
Failed Login Attempts
Entering your password 5 times incorrectly will result in your account being blocked. We’ve done this to keep your account safe. You will need to reset your password to regain access.
Logout with ease
Thanks to your feedback, we've updated your logout journey to allow you to easily logout of your account. This now appears at the top of every page next in the header. Being able to logout easily helps to keep your account safe.
New Passwords
We all forget our passwords from time to time. To make your life a little easier, when you need to reset your password, you’ll receive an email link directly to your inbox. This will now contain a unique token so only you can change your password, keeping your account safe & secure.
Google Captcha V3
We have updated the reCAPTCHA system to provide a smoother and more seamless login experience for our customers. This enhancement ensures that users can log in easily and securely, without unnecessary obstacles or delays, while still maintaining a high level of protection against fraudulent activity.
Sensitive Changes
We’ve made a small change to the way you manage your accounts sensitive data. Any changes to user details now requires you to an enter OTP. You’ll receive this OTP via Email to your account. An email of the change will also be sent to your account administrator and all changes will be visible to them in the “Manage Users” area.
Manage Users
To keep your account safe and to enable you to manage your account with ease, we’ve added a new feature to allow you to see a full list of changes made to a user on your account. This will allow you to quickly identify any issues and flag to us immediately. You’ll also receive an Email every time a change is made to your account.
Domains
If a user attempts to create a new account that doesn’t match the domain associated with the admin account, these will now be automatically blocked. The admin of the account will also receive an Email when a new account is created.
